SMS Policy

We only text people who have entered their own mobile number into a THRIFTWORX sign-up form and ticked the SMS consent box, which is unchecked by default. We never buy, rent or scrape phone numbers, and consent to texts is never a condition of signing up, buying anything, or submitting any form on this site — you can leave the phone field blank and still join our email list.

By opting in you confirm the number is yours (or that you are authorised to use it) and agree to receive automated text messages from THRIFTWORX.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

• Live show alerts — a short text when a Whatnot show is starting.
• Inner Circle — pop-up shows, new arrivals and $1 sudden-death auctions.
• New arrivals — occasional alerts when fresh stock is listed.
• Order and booking updates — transactional messages about an order you placed or a consultation you booked.

Typical frequency is a few messages per week at most, depending on the lists you joined. Message volume varies with show schedules.

Message and data rates may apply, set by your mobile carrier. THRIFTWORX does not charge you for texts. We are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, which depend on your carrier's network.

• Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. You will receive a single confirmation, then nothing further.
• Reply HELP for assistance, or email hello@thriftworx.com.
• You can also ask us to delete your number entirely and we will remove it from every list.

If you change or recycle your phone number, please let us know so the previous owner's consent is not applied to you.

Your mobile number, first name, email address and Whatnot username (where provided) are stored in our database and in TextMagic, the messaging provider that sends our texts on our behalf. We do not sell or share your number with advertisers or third-party marketers.
